NeoCon + Design Days 2025

Our team hit the ground running in Chicago, exploring what’s next in commercial interiors—and how we can bring that innovation back to YOU.

From Fulton Market to the Merchandise Mart, we walked miles of showrooms and got a firsthand look at the latest products, finishes, and design thinking. Here’s what stood out:

What’s Trending | Materials & Finishes

Bouclé Everything
This cozy, tactile fabric was a standout across seating, screens, and soft spaces—bringing a layer of residential warmth to commercial environments.

Fluted Wood & Channeled Upholstery
Vertical slats and horizontal stitched detailing added depth, softness, and visual rhythm to surfaces and furniture.

Monochromatic Color Stories
Frame, base, and fabric in a single color family created clean, intentional, and elevated aesthetics.

Rich Hues & Saturated Colors
Plum, rust, and ombré blues & greens added depth alongside warm woods and soft neutrals—complementing natural tones rather than competing with them.

What’s Trending | Form & Function

Soft Shapes & Rounded Forms
Curves were everywhere—from lounge seating to casegoods. This shift softens the aesthetic and promote a more human, welcoming feel.

Integrated Technology
Power access, wireless charging, and even heated credenzas were seamlessly built into furniture—without compromising design.

Casual Gathering & Meeting Spaces
More spaces designed for spontaneous connection—not just structured meetings. The focus? Comfort, ease, and conversation.

Acoustic Pods & Privacy Booths
Pods and enclosed booths were everywhere—offering focused, heads-down space within open layouts. While not one-size-fits-all, the best versions balanced sound control, comfort, and design. We were especially drawn to solutions that felt integrated into the environment rather than dropped in.

THAT’S A WRAP
