Feeding Out Communities Partners
Hunger is a daily reality for many children. In Minnesota, more than 300,000 children are food insecure. When children go hungry, it doesn’t just impact them at home—it follows them into school and out into their communities.
Feeding Our Communities Partners (FOCP) is a non-profit dedicated to ending youth hunger. Although schools provide breakfast and lunch, many children have limited access to food on weekends and during school breaks. That’s where FOCP steps in.
Year-round, FOCP bridges the food insecurity gap by offering free, nutritious, child-friendly food options to K-12 students on weekends and during school breaks. Our five feeding programs including the BackPack Food Program, are completely funded by the community and only made possible with the helping hands of over 2,000 volunteers annually.
Feeding Our Communities Partners (FOCP) has a mission to engage our community in solving youth hunger. We envision communities in which hunger is not a barrier to student success. By providing consistent, reliable, and nutritious food to K-12 students on weekends and school breaks, kids are nourished and ready to be the best version of themselves.
Food is vital to a child’s physical, mental, and academic health. FOCP food programs are a consistent and trusted source of breakfast, lunch, and snacks for food-insecure children, supporting overall health and wellness.
Youth hunger is a solvable problem, but it requires the collective effort of our community. FOCP receives no federal funding, and we are supported by grants, fundraising events, and individual donors. Your contribution ensures a community of happy and healthy children who can succeed where a rumbling stomach once stopped them.
Upcoming FOCP Events
Raise a glass to raise awareness of youth hunger in our community! While we certainly have a fun time enjoying the atmosphere and libations at BBB, this annual get-together helps provide hunger relief services to hundreds of local youths. All the proceeds raised go directly towards our work serving food-insecure students grades K-12 well-balanced meals when school is out.
BBB offers on-site attendance at FOCP’s warehouse for a community-building awesome time!
Your ticket includes: entrance into the event, a free pint of beer, select bourbon tastings with The Bourbon Doctors, grilled fare meal from Pub 500, access to the silent auction, raffles, classic BBB games, and live entertainment from Minnesota artists!
