December 2021 Charity of the Month
In partnership with the Minnesota Wild, we are the sponsor of the Minnesota Wild Charity of the Month Program. Throughout the NHL season, we feature a new charity each month. This months selected charity is Joy Collaborative!
Joy Collaborative transforms the personal spaces of the youth living with life-limiting conditions. We create spaces that give control back to them. Spaces that are unique to them – Joy Rooms!
ABOUT JOY ROOMS
Joy Rooms allow families to have greater control in daily living. They improve functional needs, create dedicated space for the administration of treatments, motivate engagement. These rooms provide a space for rest or create hubs for social activity.
Starting with the imagination of the Joy Room recipient and a clear understanding of the unique needs and desires for the space, Joy Collaborative and the talented and dedicated design team set to task uncovering challenges and begin defining the solutions that will dramatically improve the environment. Construction and manufacturers come together to build out and finish the space. Due to their generous donors, trade partners, and sponsors, Joy Rooms are provided at no cost to the family. On reveal day, the recipient is welcomed to a space curated specifically for them.

Host a Joy Party!
A Joy Party is a customized fundraiser with a guest list of your choice.
Collect your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to learn about Joy Collaborative from the founder and executive director, Mark Ostrom.
You handle the venue, food, and drink. They bring the content and a fundraising platform to help you meet your goal!
In-Kind Donations
Joy Collaborative relies heavily on in-kind product contributions to successfully build out a room.
They are currently looking for furniture, Audio-Visual equipment, lighting, and interior finishes (paint, wallcovering, and commercial flooring).

Volunteer Service
Joy Collaborative depend greatly on volunteers!
Join us and see what can be accomplished when you get an impassioned team to focus on creating an environment for children and young adults to thrive.
Joy Collaborative is currently in need of volunteers to help with: Joy Room design, event planning, and fundraising.
FUNDRAISERS & WILD JERSEY AUCTION
Starting at the December 4th game (Wild vs. Toronto Maple Leafs) Joy Collaborative will be encouraging Wild fans to check out their site, get involved, donate, and bid on the chance to win one of the signed jerseys in the auction! The auction will close at 12:00 Noon on December 19 and winners will be alerted via text message. Donations will be accepted through December 31st.
